Making a successful business more successful brings inevitable challenges. In her own words, Barbara describes here how she is moving the business forwards through improved communications and building on her strengths and those of her people, and in doing so is improving staff job satisfaction and her balance and quality of life. “Because of the business issues I wanted deal with, I decided that I wanted to work with a male coach who was direct and focussed. I had pre-conceived ideas of those issues – however the coaching has opened up a much broader picture.
I was in a tough place. There were many business pressures and struggles within myself. Through the coaching I felt both very challenged and very supported. I found myself questioning what I believed, and getting challenging feedback about the things I felt about myself. It made me think enormously, but gave me resources so that throughout it all I was never lost. Simply noticing what I was saying and even how I was sitting has made a real difference. And as a result I’ve moved on immensely. I feel brilliant!
As a leader I feel I have a lot more integrity. It’s enabling me to see the bigger picture and move the business forwards. I’m successfully delegating within the business. It’s making use of the skillsets of my staff, improving people’s job satisfaction and increasing how much we are all achieving. We’re improving the systems in the business. I’m seeing things from a more positive angle and balancing what’s not done with what has been achieved, which is much more motivating.
Personally I’m enjoying better communications, making fuller use of my strengths, seeing more to celebrate and enjoying better relationships. I’m not carrying stress and burdens 24/7. I’m building on the things I have done well. I’ve got a much better quality of daily life. I’ve more time for me. I’m enjoying way more balance than I’ve ever had and it’s in a way that is not at the expense of others.
This has been life-changing! I now have resources that are absolutely directed at my life and my needs. And that’s the difference! I’d recommend this to everybody! I can see so many people on the path to a crisis – this is for anyone, business people or otherwise, who wants their life to feel better, and how they feel in their life.
