Case Study – The confidence, clarity and personal
Starting a business is a challenging time. There are so many things that need to be done. Often they are new, unfamiliar and even scary. They all need to be fitted into a day that also includes the other important things in your life. Here Carley describes how she is getting the clarity, confidence, motivation and organisation to successfully launch her business.
“I was interested in time management, clarity and motivation. The main thing was that I was ‘putting things off’. I didn’t think that I could afford a coach, or even that I needed one. I thought coaching was only for leaders in multi-million pound businesses. Business Link gave me the Coaching Professionals website. I phoned Neil and immediately knew I was happy and comfortable with him.
I know I’m getting so much more confident. I’m making the calls and speaking confidently. I’m getting results from taking the actions. Every day now I’m asking “What am I doing to move the business forwards towards the goals?”
I’m planning my day in a constructive and productive way, that’s flexible around my family. I find I can relax more because I haven’t got so many things whizzing around in my head. And that means I’m a lot clearer about what I have to do.
Looking back I remember thinking “Could I spend the money better elsewhere?” I now know nothing would have moved me as far forwards as this coaching has.
I know loads of things will always be with me – like the ability to not be too hard on myself. I now recognise what I do do, rather than what I don’t do. I’m getting over blockages. It’s always getting easier. The telephone coaching is a massive advantage for me – we have a ½ an hour session so that by 9.30 I’m geared up and ready to go. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone with a business and a passion to take it forwards. This is always a pleasure I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”
