Case Study – How much impact can one session have?
When Coaching Professionals held a prize draw at an exhibition, Guy Wilcox was a lucky winner. He had an afternoon with Neil Scotton. That was 2 years ago. Building on his natural drive and energy he has gone on to achieve more and more. At the time of this conversation he was on the verge of achieving his highest monthly sales record ever.
I’ve always been a massive fan of coaching in sport. In terms of NLP and business I knew it was also about the quality of the coach. I was chuffed that I won the session as a prize, but I went into it with an open mind.
I enjoyed the session immensely. It improved my clarity of what I wanted, and what I wanted to achieve. My mind runs at 100mph at times so it was very good as a focussing tool. It’s given me tools I still use to help me focus on in times of need. I can see more clearly what my long term goals are and how the short term ones fit into it. Identifying key skills from the past and how to use them now has been useful.
And has the business benefited? I should say so. The combination of this session, with Neil’s strong business background, together with a coach I see when I’m in Spain, means the business has definitely got better. Because I know what I want to achieve, and what I need to do to achieve it, I can adapt my attitude to make it happen. I have got better and better in my role.
Every area of my life has got fuller and the balance has got stronger. I’m putting the energy in the right places in my life.
I’d recommend this to anyone, whoever they are and wherever they are in life. Every top performer has a coach - why not have one for your life?
