The Sustainability Pioneers - what will the business of the future look like?
“There are three groups of people. Those that are playing the game, those that are watching the game and those that don't even know there's a game being played.”
Do you want to create business success in a way that is good for people and the planet? Do you want to be a pioneer that shows others what success is possible by being more sustainable? We'd like to invite you to this groundbreaking event on Friday 20th February 2009 at Woods Mill.
The event brings together business leaders in the region who really want to create success in a way that is good for business, people and the planet. This is an event for players, not spectators. It will build on the belief that the inherent, innovative skill of the business sector can tackle many of the challenges presented by climate change and demands for resources.
This is different from other seminars. We don't pretend to have all the answers – this is about learning together with people who are committed to making a difference. We will share with you what we know about what is happening, and what is being proven to work. And by providing opportunity for you to share your thoughts, experiences and vision, together we start a conversation and a journey that helps find the ideas and solutions that will enable you to become more successful in sustainable ways.
By attending this event you will get:
- Dr Tony Whitbread, Chief Executive of the Sussex Wildlife Trust, setting the scene for sustainability
- Tony Porter, Marketing Director of James McNaughton Paper will share how they have saved 27000 tonnes of CO2, £250,000 and become carbon neutral - and lessons that can help your business get the message of your good work out into the world.
- Neil Scotton, Director of Coaching Professionals and former President of the International Coach Federation in the UK, sharing leading thinking from around the world and the UK. These help turn the big issue of sustainability into steps every business and business leader can use to improve their present situation and their future success
- An opportunity to share and create together ways to help you and your business make the most of this credit crunch and the future that follows You can expect to come away with:
· Ideas on how to save money and create opportunities
· To understand future forces helping you to plan ahead
· Fascinating stats and figures to help you make decisions
· Examples of success and useful models to give you practical ideas to apply to your own business
· Networking opportunities to share experiences with likeminded business leaders
