Unlocking Thoughts, Passion and Intuition in the Czech Republic - Posted 30/12/08

Neil Scotton was invited to Prague to speak, share and train coaches and business leaders in "Unlocking thoughts, passion and intuition – Coaching for profound, sustainable, confident change.". The session on December 8th 2008 enabled delegates to learn more about how they can coach the ‘whole’ person. They were able to help people to discover what’s really going on inside them and enable them to understand and overcome the ‘hidden’ blocks they may have been stopping them. It's all simple ways to help people make the changes they want in ways that are natural, sensible, wise and sustainable for them, so that they can achieve higher levels of success and fulfilment. Through demonstrations, exercises and discussion Neil shared practical coaching experience and proven techniques that can immediately benefit people in their work and lives. They can now expect to learn more about themselves as they learn to apply the techniques.

Neil Scotton wins global President's Award

Neil Scotton, Managing Director of Coaching Professionals and President of the UK chapter of the International Coach Federation, has been awarded the Global President’s award for his contribution to leadership of the coaching profession in the UK and beyond. In 2007 this award was won by fellow UK coaching pioneer, Sir John Whitmore. Neil received the award from Diane Brennan, global President, in front of 1400 coaches at the ICF's international conference in Montreal.

Global President of the ICF, Diane Brennan, praised the UK’s achievements saying ‘There are many amazing people within our coaching community. One person stood out for me this year as I reflected on this award. This individual is someone I met in the fall of 2006. There were a lot of challenges facing his chapter and the way forward was not very clear. The chapter was in a survival mode. Today this chapter has experienced unprecedented success under this individual’s leadership; including:

• Engaging the leadership team and members in the process; • A clear, sharp focus on becoming self sustaining; • The consistent introduction of innovative programs; • Exceptional corporate outreach and advocacy; • Forging cooperative relationships with other coaching organizations to address issues of mutual concern; and • Marketing and public relations initiatives that support service and sustainability.

Neil exemplifies the characteristics of true global leadership and is exceptionally worthy of the ICF President's Award. Such laudable individual accomplishments are contributing in substantial measure to making professional coaching a truly integral part of society.’
